  1. This is Maria Oldering’s pattern. Can be found on the Internet archives also known as Wayback machine. This pattern is gorgeous and I have made two other variations of the same.

  2. May I ask how this works? I am playing with this (thank you for the pattern) yet I am not getting the open loops. It kind of reminds me of peyote stitch from the picture your showing on how some of the beads stick out to the side but in reality, mine are not doing that by just stringing the beads. Am I missing something? Thanks!

  4. This is a beautiful necklace, and lays perfectly around the neck. I have made it in different colours and also tried using cube beads in place of pearls. Works well either way. Thank you to “admin” for sharing this pattern, it looks really elegant made up.

    • Can I use 12pound fish line also do you know how much line it takes.
Do you have the written pattern. Any hints would be welcome. It’s for my daughter’s wedding. Thanks

  5. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?

  6. This is really the most beautiful pattern. Thank you for sharing. I have made 6 already! I have giving it to express gratitude to a very special person, other for a raffle. We raised $505 for our organization and I have been asked to make a second one to raise fund for other special project. Everyone loves this pattern! I do not repeat color.

I will try to alternate colors.

    Thanks again for sharing!
    Cheers,

    • Was wondering how long your made your necklace. I am nearly finished with the pattern, but am having trouble deciding how long it should be.

  7. This is an absolutely beautiful pattern, I have made it in glass pearls in varying sizes and colours. It lays perfectly and looks really elegant. When I make it for other people, they seem to like it about 19 inches long, but for myself I like it 17 inches. Thank you admin for this pattern, it has to be the prettiest one I have ever found.

  8. I agree with Gail, 17 inches is the best length for this necklace including the clasp. If it’s to long it doesn’t sit right on the neck.
If you use a lenght of chain and a lobster clasp fastening, then the lenght can be adjusted for those who want to wear it longer.
I tried using 0.6 fireline but didn’t like it, so I used the thickest fireline I had 0.17 and it turned out fine. I have made 2 with size 8 pearls, thinking of making 1 with fire polished beads.
It really is a beautiful necklace.
